Kevin , I use waterhouse web-broker, The Pro funds have a $24
transaction fee, ( each way )..there are a lot of funds taht
don't cost me anything to trade, but those two have a TF on
them.
Trades on stocks and spiders are $12
I get shorts easy enough , but have to short at market to get
them, ( limit order shorts generally they won't find the shares)
( if they do you can bet you shorted to late, and it's going
to go UP <G> ) I can cover with a limit order.
Jim
PS I don't short stocks, in fact I don't even buy them any
more..my last buy was MO, and MTSLF..after I sold them I
started playing the Spiders and SPY, QQQ, MDY, & DIA exclusively
except I do use no load funds. Most of them are index funds,
and have a $24 TF
Jim
PS
Well I did a paired trade with the qqq & UOPIX and it looks
like I'm long at an average of 103-1/4.
Gold did good most all day but droped at the close. :-(
XLP is down, but shouldn't fall much more.
