What a disappointing day in the grains. I am still long dec corn but having second thoughts. Have to talk with my broker in the morning to get a better feeling. I may hit a stop tomorrow if things don't improve. Looking at Dec corn calls and may put an order in for 240 call @ .10. What can I say, I'm a glutton for punishment. I was halfway joking when I talked about $4 beans. A farmer could have forward contracted his fall beans for around 4.25 cash, today, in my area. A little off topic but, I just received a DOANE Market research report, a survey of farmers across the country. Broad range of questions asked. The question that caught my eye was "Do you plan on making any new equipment purchases in 1999? " Only 13.7% responded with a yes. TRying to think positive, Rich
