Doubts are real, bu it would be noticably the greatest by far camera technology in existence. A single chip is the photo receptor. These points give me pause when considering agreeing with you on Foveons potential. The technology would exceed the best film. Clearly Lens evaluations would use Foveon instead of high resolution films. The professional market would jump as it always does, to own the best available methods. IMHO
