Yes, the internet is in its infancy, and it is not going away.

Selling money-losing jokes of businesses for 200 times revenue, however, is just about gone.

Just because a stock pyramid scheme of epic proportions has been erected with internet optimism as its base, doesn't mean the internet was the problem. No more than a guy running a porn-scam 900 number by spamming people with email means e-mail is the problem.
