I have "trading plan" going into a session. Of course it takes into account most eventualities (puts/calls), earnings plays, but story stocks after they have already run up don't fit into the plan. But I'm getting a little more flexible to accomodate some of these stocks. But I still think they could turn on you. HAUP was down about 7 this morning, so I ask you what do the people who held over the weekend do? Do they sell quickly and then miss the runup? What runup? For these people they are either stopped out or take a loss. or Do they wait for it to rebound while being down 7. I don't believe there are any answers to this. I think those that got in and held got burnt, and a new batch traders feasted on the stock when it rebounded. But that is just my hunch.
