Does anybody have any definitive info on the Russell 2000 rebalance which looks like it is going to happen on May 31. I have a list here which looks like it may not be correct.... for example realnetwork, exodus, doubleclick are all members of the current Russell 2000, but will not be included in the re-weight - I suppose because their mkt caps are too large. This chart shows a combined valuation of 103,345mm in internet companies currently in Russell 2000. The new rebalanced list has only 21,515mm in internet stocks - 2% vs. 10% of total weighting. There might be a play in some of the smaller issues being added such as aweb and peapod.. I don't know what being dropped from the index will do to real or CMGI, etc.
