LoD:
<DELL ought to be trading in the mid-$30s?>

As of market close today selective stocks are off their highs by the following percentages:
AOL 31.9% PFE 29.2%
CSCO 10.6% WCOM 12.4%
C 16.1% YHOO 43.5%
DELL 34.3% MSFT 19.2%
GE 11.9%
MDT 26.5%

As I recall, last October panic set in just before the bottom was reached. Stocks such as CSCO, DELL, MSFT dropped like rocks on heavy volume. Then they went back up like rocket ships. IMHO the sell-off was the typical herd mentality back then. It is also MHO that we will shortly see a similar herd mentality large volume sell-off now. I think DELL will go to the low 30s and CSCO and MSFT will drop an even greater percentage. These would be great buying opportunities. I think the Internet stocks will continue to drop and never go back to previous lofty levels but a lot of money could still be made by buying on this big dip. I am long and holding on everything so I cannot buy on this dip. Just some of my thoughts. I keep reminding myself and others that we bought good companies.

~OT~ FYI...Thread, here is an interesting Red Herring article on how internet valuations get even nuttier.

I agree with some of the points that the author makes but I AM NOT selling my internet stocks now. I have carefully selected them and they are NOT on margin. In fact, I may actually buy more shares of high potential internet stocks IF the market continues to present bargain basement prices <GG>..!!

Best Regards,

Scott
