Brett: IMO, CNBC doesn't always get it right. Yet, we need to help motivate them to bring Steven Snyder (the NETP CEO) on for an interview. This would give NETP great visibility AND it would provide an opportunity for NETP to tell their story. I strongly encourage everyone to fire off a quick and compelling email to CNBC's "Power Lunch" organizers. Check out the post below by a fellow investor from Yahoo's NETP thread. I admire his initiative and I'll be sending CNBC an email in the next 10 minutes..<GG>.!!

Best Regards, Scott

Software to "personalize" offerings of visiting clients, customers, and prospects seems to be a coming thing. Net Perceptions, NETP, is reported to be the #1 company in this area. Any chance you can have a NETP representative discuss the sector and NETP's plans and prospects?

Net Perceptions is the world's preeminent developer and supplier of realtime recommendation technology. Today's most successful online businesses are leveraging this technology to do what human employees no longer can: Get to know the individual wants, needs and preferences of every customer and dynamically personalize their offerings to each customer based on that knowledge. The one-to-one personalization made possible by our technology increases sales, enhances profitability and deepens customer relationships with every transaction. More than 100 Net Perceptions customers, including CDnow, E!Online, iVillage, Music Boulevard, Planet Direct and Ticketmaster Online, see our realtime recommendation solutions as strategic tools essential to their long-term success. With a customer base more than 10 times larger than that of the closest competitor, Net Perceptions is the de facto industry standard in E-commerce, Web site personalization and Web site ad targeting. At the end of 1998, Net Perceptions extended its technology to call centers and ad targeting. Beyond that, the possibilities are endless."

"Net Perceptions has emerged as the clear industry leader, with 10 times as many customers as its nearest competitor. Net Perceptions has been particularly effective at partnering with other companies. In forging strong business relationships, Net Perceptions has tightly integrated its technology with Broadvision, Microsoft's Site Server and Vignette." – Ann Winblad, Hummer Winblad Venture Partners

FYI...Some comments on NETP from Raging Bull...

<<The increase in loss per share is not uncommon in internet stocks. Take a look at AMZN's first quarter report and it shows it went from (.07) 1st qrtr 98 to (.23) in 1st qrtr 99. NETP indicated in the conference call that it went from 44 to 99 employees, and alot of expense was in R&D. They are looking to expand in Europe and talked of a joint venture with a Japanese firm in the very near future. They gave a number to call to hear a replay of the conference call, but I missed it. if anyone has that, could you please post.>>

Best Regards,

Scott
