I didn't do an acetylene control, so I can't rank them on direct experience. The hydrogen bag, properly prepared, does a 12 gauge proud. I was careful and didn't do any windows. :-)

I guess my initial point had less to do with the force of the respective explosions and more to do with the band of mixing ratios that will support unconfined detonation. Acetylene is good; no argument there. But hydrogen is imo at least as good. It has the broadest band of %content ratios that will combust ,and the broadest % band that'll detonate.

But of course I didn't do the control (no access to acetylene when I was young&dumb) so this is all opinion on my part.
