This brings an interesting situation.

What do you think analysts, whose words drive this stock, will think when Flash is better than expected, and because of that, it may counterbalance the negative from the chip side.

AMD is basically strictly seen as a chip company, not a flash company, so their reaction will provide insight to how they view the "other" side of AMD's future.

Now would be a good time for our resident analyst to put in a few words.

I take that in a heart beat.

I highly doubt that AMD will break even or get a small profit. I was just hopping for a loss of less than, lets say, $30M

Well, flash has really picked up but 5.5M chips is definitely at the high end of expectations.

Really, really lucky. $80 is more realistic but you never know.
