Good Lord, are they still talking like that? You'd think they'd have learned something from the last 50 years. I think they play too much chess: take the other guy's king, sit back, and wonder why the game doesn't end. I hope they have no influence.

As for Kosovo, it is impossible to envision refugees (not KLA) attempting to return into hostile and constantly sabotaged enviroment..

If their option is sitting in a camp in Albania they would probably go back. Financial inducements would of course be necessary. There would of course be enormous problems: setting up a functional government, defining a relationship with Belgrade, preventing the returning refugees from retaliating against Kosovars of Serb descent, etc.

I don't see any easy or positive outcome no matter what decision is made at this point.
