Leaps are only January expiries, and have their own distinct symbols. For example, the Barrick 2001 Leaps expire in January 2001 and trade under the symbol ZAB. (All 2001 Leaps have Z in the symbol). Today the 2000 Leaps (LBA) become regular-way and trade under ABX. If you have a position in 2000 Leaps, you don't have do anything, they are automatically converted....but I promise you I will get orders for the next few weeks for "LBA". HTH.
