I agree, Scott. These current fluctuations are just based on investors' whims while we await something substantive on the Internet front. Intuit is due to announce something soon about going live with the service, but I think investors are waiting for a a horizontal player like Yahoo or a vertical player like Amazon to take the plunge. The Intuit announcement will help if investors can grasp a pricing model that offers real potential for revenues. The Bell South deal should have made more of a difference, imho, but it is somewhat small in scope initially and investors are being scared off by the minimal revenues of Portico. Though many of us believe Portico's revenues are such due to the inadequacies of the Reseller channel, a fear remains that it is due to the inadequacies of the Portico product. As a user, I can safely say that is is a good product, but I will admit that it is somewhat nichey. Dr. Markman has continually maintained that their primary concern is the branding of magicTalk and making it the defacto industry standard. When investors begin to see that magicTalk is going to become the standard and that demand exists for VUI, I believe we will see a sustainable price rise off of current levels in anticipation of the revenues that will result. As long as those revenues don't disappoint I think we will be ok. In the meantime, if one believes in what Dr. Markman is pointing towards then the current doldrums are just short term frustrations. If one does not, then this is the wrong investment. Of course, I don't speak for traders because I don't have the technical knowledge. Best wishes to all believers in the magic. Seconds Out.
