I am looking for a complete back-up system for backing up ALL data on my hard drive. For years I have only backed up critical data, and if the system went haywire, just re-install the OS and programs and the critical back-up data.

Well, that can be very time consuming when you have your system configured for about 80 programs.

I use to use a complete back-up program from HP and their Travan tape drive, but I found many errors when I restored the back-up, so I stuck with backing up critical data only.

I need user recommendations for a good system. I have heard of systems that don't require you to have the OS on the system to restore.

System:
Dell P2 450, IDE drives (3 GIG's of programs and Data)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
