I am not sure what you really mean. There are many ways to value a stock. Lately, the analysts have been changing their valuation model of DELL. So you can justify any price by changing your valuation model. The important thing with valuation is for you to state your assumption. This is something the analysts rarely do or discuss. Currently, high PE growth stocks are in disfavor while small cap value stocks are in favor. I am sure we will see a reversal of this market motif in due time.
