This is exactly what Apple needs to gain support from the PC industry.

Those Taiwanese manufactuerers probably used to loathe Apple for their proprietary in-hous manufacturing. They welcomed PC box-makers with open arms because it meant income.

Now Apple dollars are as good as any so they will probably promote the proliferation of iMacs wherever they can.

The next step is to make a crappy OS that's full of bugs so that tech support people will love it.

Windows tech support people will promote NT to the hilt since "they alone can fix your problems" at a price and double overtime to boot!

Apple techs just get the job done and don't often get a chance to make that kind of overtime. Thus, they end up not able to buy all the new toys. If they can't buy the toys, the tech toy manufacturers stop supporting the OS. It's a cycle that's tough to break.
