There was a article in todays WSJ about the June 1 break-up of Conrail into CSX and Norfolk Southern. The article pointed out that the N/S route will bring economic growth to the hold region. Customers indicated a 5% reduction in freight cost and no interruption of service expected. This is just the beginning , as we get closer to the June 1 break-up dare more and more exposure will be published and NYRR will get its fare share of it. The article did not mention the smaller RR's but the PR can't hurt.
