NeXT resistance but iCEO aware , server v desktop OS concerns

>>"... on the OSX carbon interface. This guy who writes the Mac column there is normally very upbeat. He really didn't like the "NEXT type interface" that he said Jobs was excited about. He said it would take away the Mac's advantage as still the most user-friendly computer. Any opinions on this here? " <<

Dave , may be the natural reluctance to change . The Mac OS is adding server disciplines to a comfortable desktop .

This feeling may intensify as AAPL's product lines become more distinctly Consumer v Pro , and S Jobs will be looked at as a NeXT-UNIX bigot .

SJ calmed the anti Rhapsody (Unify) developers at last years WWDC . However it could eventually provide the basis for AAPL's hiring a "President" with distinct server responsibilities .

AAPL has to be rapidly successful in the server market while expanding its consumer line . The iCEO could use some help - WebDrone has a name .

FWIW,
