I heard Ralph Bloch (of Raymond James Assoc.) (and (recent) "whoa, check out that put / call ratio" fame) on CNBC yesterday.

He is back on my "leave the mute button on mute" list.

Jon.

<Hey maurice last time you were this bearish was Oct the day before the market turned. I consider this a bullish sign! >

No, you're wrong MMike, it was in July when we were discussing Paul Klugman and the preliminaries to the financial tornado which reached a crescendo in the immediate aftermath of the Zenit butterfly in Siberia and the consequences to Long Term Capital Management. By October, things were all hunky dory.

Oil was down again yesterday as stocks build quickly, so maybe things are already adjusting - they act quickly these days. The good thing is that Qualcomm is the quality stock to hold in a down draft - as you all learned last year when Korea hit the bottom, cellphone sales just roared ahead while airline tickets remained unsold.

You can consider your mistake a bullish sign if you like! Good luck! Basing decisions on incorrect facts is not the most cunning of investment procedures. Don't misunderstand me, I don't think the world is entering any sort of economic mess. On the contrary, The New Paradigm will continue, abated only slightly, but that's how the weather works. Overall, the ice age is finished. Market panics are just like a passing storm. Put your raincoat on or spend a few days indoors.

No worries! What a great day!
