Here's an even better question IMHO What happens if you short the stock when the record date for the spin off shares occur ?? Do you also owe someone shares in the new Diamonex company or what. ??I've never even wondered about something like that.. Maybe that's one reason no one wants to short it.. Anyone out there know ??
