Edify Presents on Electronic Bill Payment - Harnessing the Killer App' At IQPC Conference

On-Premise Banking Application Leader Joins With Customer Busey Bank At Internet Billing Conference

CHICAGO, May 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Edify Corporation (Nasdaq: EDFY - news), an Internet and voice e-Commerce portal solution provider, will today speak at the 6th Annual Conference on Internet Billing, sponsored by the International Quality and Productivity Center (IQPC). The two day conference, held here, addresses Internet Billing technology, marketing and customer care.

Charles Herel, manager of business development, Edify Corporation, will be joined by executives from Urbana, Illinois-based Busey Bank at 2:40 p.m. today. They will outline the opportunities for financial institutions to maintain their customers' loyalty by creating one-stop financial portals that integrate billing and other activities.

Busey Bank was an early implementor of Edify's Electronic Banking System, originally going into production in 1997. Busey Bank is also one of the first customers for Edify's Consumer Banking Suite and has successfully introduced the Checkbook, an online transaction registry which gives the customer up to the minute control and management of their finances without requiring the use of a personal financial management software package.

The Bank also anticipates rolling out electronic bill payment and presentment (EBPP), which will allow it to manage summary billing information from CheckFree's E-Bill(SM) service. Busey Bank executives will update conference attendees on the progress of this roll out.
