Merrill Lynch upgraded LCOS from long term accumulate to long term buy after reviewing LCOS's latest quarterly results. ML analyst maintained short term rating at accumulate with a comment that LCOS will be very volatile in the short term. Wouldn't this be the ideal time for ML analyst to upgrade LCOS to buy short term given the sharp sell off that we have experienced ? I am very surprised that upgrade did not come before the open today given the news that LCOS will get a boost on the NASDAQ 100 news. Brokerage firms record their buy recommendations based on the previous day's close. Therefore, there was an incentive to upgrade last night on the NASDAQ 100 inclusion news. Comments ?
