taxman, thanks for your input on the leaps.
The only time it is really worth buying short term calls (under 3 months to expiration) is when you expect to make big bucks very fast. I agree that in the case of leaps, buying should in those that have the longest expirations--in this case leaps 2002. I am no longer going to buy any 2001s as the difference in the cost is not much considering you are getting an extra year, IMHO.

BTW--I am still not tempted to buy July or October calls yet.
