Subject: PLEASE' PLEASE REPLY TO YOUR CONGRESSMAN AND STOP THIS NONSENSE.

EVERYONE - READ THIS!!! CNN reported that in the next two weeks,
Congress is going to vote on allowing telephone companies to charge
for
Internet access. That means, every time we make a long distance e-
mail
we will receive a long distance charge. This will get costly. Please
visit to the following web site AND complain. Complain to your
Congressman. Don't allow this to pass.
house.gov
I hope that you will pass this on to all your friends and family. All
of
us have an interest in this one. PLEASE FORWARD TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW
TODAY.

Don't get me started. These aren't mom and pop "Savings & Loans". And if I recall correctly the central bank, led by Greenspan, came to WS pleading for a cooperative effort to bail out Long Term Capital. To wit, many investment houses did enormous debt underwriting for Russia. Russia collapsed, and despite the extraordinary loss, these firms were still profitable. Trust me, your Y2K concerns were remediated years before the press woke up and and told you about them.
