News Conference Will Announce First Digital Reverse Products

Be sure to attend Scientific-Atlanta's news conference on Tuesday, May 25 from 2-3 p.m. in Room 203C of the Orange County Convention Center. The company will announce the first in a new family of products designed to increase network capacity for interactive services. Scientific-Atlanta's new bdr(TM) products will employ baseband digital reverse technology and include a suite of solutions that will enable cable operators to better handle the large amounts of multimedia traffic expected in the critical reverse path portion of the network as interactive services such as Internet TV and telephony are deployed. Visitors to Scientific-Atlanta's booth can view live demonstrations of the first bdr products operating in a typical network configuration.

Scientific-Atlanta will showcase the latest services on its award-winning Explorer 2000 advanced digital set-top, which has already been commercially launched this year to sites throughout North America. No PR at this time unfortunately. This allows serious accumulation from institutions/large players such as Paul Tudor to acquire more at much lower prices before IATV makes a significant run to the upside. They're shaking the tree and seeing how many weak hands fall off. JMHO.
