All XYBR longs, shorts, and lurkers: I've been thinking about dumping my holdings in this stock, but for some reason I just can't let go. It's proven to be a bad decision so far, but I am still optimistic for a turnaround. I've also wanted to post that I met Ed Newman last week in Detroit and had a chance to try out the MA IV. My computer is having problems (as always) and have had no time to post, but I will post this quickly as I'm working late. The product works very well. The head mounted "screen" is very clear, although a little tricky to use because you're focusing out of one eye. There is also a wrist mounted monitor that has a great image for those who don't want a headset. Ed and a team of about 6 were working a technology show and schmoozing with some of the auto industry mfrs. Ed said he had cocktails on Tuesday evening with Ford and Chrysler people. He mentioned XYBR already works with Daimler, and is trying to solidify their relationship with Chrysler. He was hopeful to introduce some test products to Ford while at the show. By talking to the salespeople, I gathered there have been no large orders to date (:( but Ed did say that there was a company in Germany with 50 units. He did not say who. He said the MA-V would be ready next January, and that they were working on the MA-VI, which is really a consumer application. He seemed very excited about that. Ed mentioned that Via was becoming less of a competitor because of production issues they're having, but he seemed disappointed as more competition would mean more units being seen. He spoke about IBM working on a wearable, but feels that they will have a tough time working around XYBR's patent. It appeared they are having ongoing communications with IBM about this. Said they are working to get the production costs down and are looking at another manufacturer, although I can't remember who. Ed was very friendly and upbeat about the future. He acknowledged the various institutional investors who liquidated their holdings have further depressed the stock price, but said other institutions are holding tight. All in all, I like the product. It is real, and they are selling them. I hope for all of us that this does become the year of the wearable (Xybernaut). Crusader
