Anyone listening to the Senate preparedness hearings? I am when I can stay connected. Caught the media session before lunch break. Heard a plea to the committee "to get the story straight" so to speak. It appears the media is confused and doesn't know what to report...imagine that!

re: "...wiggle out...". That should make an investor (if you are one) very happy, I should think. And really, Ken, the pre-digested and excessively regurgitated notion that "taxpayer dollars" are summoned by any and every failing brokerage is sophomoric and distorted. Ever hear of fees? Leveraged risk? Capital markets?

BTW...no need for me to be "fed BS" - I consult for the very IT departments I mention, and their remediation and testing is very much completed...even down to the embedded ICs used in all outlying, backup powerplants. Most affiliated vendors and institutions (non-US included) are also nearing Y2K compliance, if not already.

Stop worrying.
