Does anyone have any tricks, rules or insights as to when it is a good idea to buy at market open or is it always a crap shoot. I nearly put a bid in at market open, but recalled a few times that I got burned or could have if I bought.

PS. I bought Wsp on Fri at 3.85, now looking for the exit. Any thoughts on where it is going?

I agree John,

Tough to tell where a market is going and if you don't play I market order you're left sitting on a bid. I tried to time it right and bid for 10K @ 0.68 on open but the train already left. If it was a hot resource mkt buying at market would've probably been alot easier for me.

Out 3K and holding 2K wondering if it's a sell near close or a gap up and sell in the morning when this news gets out.

Would like to hear your opinion.... daytrade or a short termer????

Dean
PS: thanks fuddle for the heads up.
