That is the difference in our faith. Yours is a faith requiring begging God to protect you. Mine is a trust that no matter what happens to me it is best for me in the long run.

That is where you are wrong old timer. Many people have beseeched God in times of trouble, even tornadoes, I believe every prayer offered in faith was heard, and who is to say how God answered the prayers. Jesus asked God three times to let the cup pass from him,if it be His will, yet in the same night, told Peter that if he asked, God would send legions of angels to rescue him. He had the very faith that you speak of. No matter what happened, Jesus trusted in God . Same as Abraham when told to sacrifice his son. By faith he offered him up because he knew God had already promised to make a great nation of him. Abraham trusted.

I trust in God. And because of that I am not afraid to pray, yes even to beg...for a life of a loved one...or the soul of a lost one.... or the health of a friend.... or the destruction of evil.... or for the Lord to come. Amen
