Actually, the hagstrom link was wrong; it's for keyboard encoders (but why pay $100 for an encoder circuit when you can just buy a keyboard for $5 and rip it apart?) But that's another subject...

I know you can buy ps/2 Y connectors for ~$50, but the circuit I mentioned costs about $3 to build. Or, like I said, just put a USB keyboard on. You should be able to hook up 255 of them!
