Hi John There were a number of reasons why we did not initially do real time press releases - the biggest was that we were duplicating services already available for free from CNW, CCN, or ISDN. You are probably not aware of the intense competition among these three main wire services. Canada is a relatively small market in Canada, and it is difficult to support three competitors (let alone adding Stockwatch and Market news to the fray). The wire services each use the "number of e-mail registrants" as one of their sales tools to get more clients. i.e. "send your press release through our wire service, and we'll send them out to X people registered in our e-mail service." Rather than compete with them, it was easiest for us to support each wire service by having the link on our site saying "register to receive future press releases by e-mail with wire service X". We may revisit this, but for now are busy developing other features. David
