Sears is a dinosaur. They can't sell online (or in catalogues) at a discount to their retail
prices.


Agreed. I worked there for three years once.

Sears model was built on lack of communication infrastructure. Rural customers, etc.

It never changed.

Appliances were a market I used in a discussion with Chuzzlewit as the model product that could benefit from internet sales/supply chain management. It is just too expensive to move those things around and warehouse them regionally and finally in stores.

Anyway could this appliance negotiation have anything to do with homegrocer? Amzn owns homegrocer flat out now don't they
