And when it swings around again, and we are all jolly and merry, remember this post from Jenne. But that still doesn't quiet the stomache this week.

Jenne - I think Craig has the necessary positive attitude -- let's call it "internet bravery": nothing to fear but fear itself.

Agree, it's not the 'end of the world.' It took about 6 + weeks for the drop to work its way through the market last fall -- we're about in week 4 + or so and with each daily snippet, we're getting closer, IMO.

Pretty soon, they'll be no more shoes to drop and the next day FEAR and DREAD turn into 'HEY! THAT'S CHEAP !'.

I recall last fall CSCO relentlessly dropped daily 8 straight days, and dropped from the 60's to as low as 40, I believe. I believe AOL dropped a little more than 50 %. CMGI is now down 40 + % -- just how much cheaper would it have to get to be perceived as a 'bargain ?' IMO, 5 to 10 % tops.

BTW, I also feel these swings are accentuated by tax-inefficient / tax-indifferent mutual fund management with a focus on surface # cosmetics, not net investment impact.
