Dream on ahhaha, your ability to 'think outside of the box' is an admirable characteristic. Does Noam 'think outside of the box'? Well, the roots & references of two of its start-up, New Access Communications (NAC) MetroFusion, & the Charlottes's Web Arenea 1, projects have influences via Santa Barbara UCSB, & Stanford's 'Tiny Tera' respectively. That leaves UCSD relatively neglected. Noam stated that MRV was "dead serious" about its bringing FTTC & extending its leadership position. In describing MRV comparatively to JDS/Uniphase/Etek et al... he stated that MRV had advantage in the "subscribers loop/FTTC", & "more sophisticated products for a wider range of frequencies, data, telephony, ect..." SR is 'being shopped'. Tantalizing possibilities! Who knows...
