Frank, no offense, but you appear to be one seriously uptight dude, who jumps to conclusions seemingly at the drop of a hat. False Conclusions from your post: 1. Just because I'm not a Dell shareholder right now, does not mean that I have not been. In fact I sold my DELL holdings last week for just under $40. The first stock I ever traded 7+ years ago was DELL. And I have traded in and out of DELL ever since then. Sometimes I've made a good bit of money. Other times I've lost a good bit of money. So, I am well versed in DELL's history. In fact, living in Austin, one can't go very long w/o hearing about DELL's latest actions (like the Nashville plant). Also, I know more than my share of Dellionaires here in Austin who enthusiastically share with me both the good and the bad with being a DELL shareholder. I won't even address the other fallacy that you must be a current "DELL shareholder to understand the history that DELL shareholders have been through." If you sold all your holdings tomorrow, would you also forfeit all of the "history" that you went through with DELL? I think not. 2. Criticizing and telling you what to think? Hardily. I merely responded to your claim that Michael Dell should be fired. Now maybe you were just blowing off steam, cuz you're bleeding money on DELL right now. Believe me I can understand that. In fact, if you hold DELL, I do believe that it will eventually revisit the old highs and make new ones. Dunno when, but it will happen. However, you lost me on how I am "gloating", "criticizing", or telling you what to think. If you reread my post, I believe you'll see that absolutely none of that was in there. My dissenting viewpoint was limited to your sole proposition that Dell should go. To me it's utter sillyness. 3. Why hang out on the DELL thread? Excuse me, but this is not _your_ thread. As previously stated, I do trade DELL, but do not happen to own it today. Even if I weren't a DELL investor, though, who are you to imply that I cannot "hang" out here if I so choose to do so (which BTW, I don't -- someone linked your post on the RMBS thread)? Way outta line there, Frank. Are you afraid of dissenting views? If so, that's a very poor way to invest. Again, I'm not here to flame anyone or criticize anyone personally or to gloat anything (gloat about what? I really don't know where you got that one). Dell is an awesome company. The stock's just gotten a bit ahead of itself, much like the broader market. It'll probably continue to correct, but it will eventually hit new highs, just as sure as the sun will set tomorrow. Then everyone will be praising Michael Dell and happy times will be here again. Good luck, John Dodson
