Hi Eric, welcome to QCharts.

I'm assuming rather than sending every trade and every tick you sample down to every couple of seconds or so.

I sometimes see quotes change more than once per second, so I don't think we're making that trade off.

Right now there is no decent way to just change a chart from one symbol to another

In the upper right corner of a chart, click on "Sym" and "Intv" until both are green. Then with a chart beside a Quotesheet, click on one stock after another on the Quotesheet, and the chart will change automatically.

Eric,

You can access all the functions from the menus, and turn off the toolbars in the view menu. Maybe not as convenient as you'd like, but it solves the screen space usage problem.
