Hi Lee,

Regarding your, <<I was just recalling the chat session Sunday night where someone chastised us for being all cash. Wonder how he is doing tonight????? I know I slept well last night. >>

I was also one that he chastised for being in cash right now!

Looking ahead, and the reason I'm very cautious now, can be described by these two URL's that show that the 9-month cycle should bottom in July:

1) bottom July 9:http://decisionpoint.com/ChartSpotliteFiles/1999Forecast.html

2) bottom mid-July (1999.62)
pei-intl.com

Lastly, this is a good perspective:
decisionpoint.com

If you observe the last chart on the previous link, it shows why a more-defensive posture is very attractive right now.
(To confirm this:http://hirschorganization.com/almanac/sta-pg54.htm)

I believe that it is wise to be too early rather than too late :-]

Best regards,
Skipperr

Leaching was thought to remove bad blood

oddly enough, this age old practice is being ressurrected. It seems the leach produces a protein which inhibits PAF (platelet activating factor). PAF is an enzyme responsible for wound healing and stopping blood flow. The process starts a cascade of events which also cause cells to activate a self destruct mechanism, in an attempt to rid the body of the broken and dysfunctional tissue. However, in severe wounds, such as finger amputations, the action of PAF leads to destruction of tissue which otherwise might be saved through microsurgery. The once lowly leach, is being implemented to prevent the action of PAF and maintain a healthy flow of fresh blood through the wound site, which is injested by the leach.

Now, the reason I have not labeled this as OT is because, research of the mechanism of disease states is driving Biotech and drug discovery. This research will be a boon to society, and in my opinion, will drive the next bull market (or continue the current one?).
