Greg.
Ditto on my October margin experience last year with AOL. Can't say what the seminal event will be here, although non-inflationary CPI numbers next month may help. There's been so much institutional selling here you have to assume this money will find its way back to growth stocks at some point. I need to be careful not to load up on a mere pause before the selling finally subsides. Good trading!!

Greg-

<<? On October 8th the market turned around last year, but that coincided with 3rd quarter earnings reports that confirmed the world was not coming to an end. What will be the seminal event this time around?>>

Last time we reversed course in mid (selloff) stream was when IBM (I think) announced a huge stock buyback plan during the October malaise. The other was Greenspan's surprise rate decrease. The latter you can forget about, the former is probably not going to happen since IBM would not even think of buying its stock back at current levels. So, maybe DELL can step up to the plate and announce a huge, I mean monstrous, stock buy back.. . and of course, Mikey needs to promise he ain't selling til we get back to 55.
