3. Drug Discovery
Much of the news is contained in the Press Release issued this morning. In light of both the expense and the toxicity of AZT, a "cocktail" that reduced the AZT dose by 50% would be more tolerable and cheaper than straight AZT. (And, of course, much cheaper and easier than protease inhibitors.) It was made clear that Paracelsian is talking with deep-pocketed potential partners about such a cocktail.

It also seemed clear that (i) the "speed bump" encountered at SRI is understood and can be overcome, and (ii) SRI is working on other herbs from the TCM Library that have shown great promise.

+1. Internet
Paracelsian now envisions "New Century Nutrition" as an Internet "portal" to two distinct sorts of sites: First, information: available-nowhere-else Traditional Chinese Medicine. Keith Campbell has recently returned from China; of course his father, Colin, is revered in China. Second, a "Mall." Several different "stores" with a variety of products, including mushrooms and teas, etc. Arrangements have been made with "suppliers" so that Paracelsian does not have to add staff or keep inventory: provide the information, and take the orders (and a piece of the action). Bernie anticipated products available in a matter of weeks.
