Well, I apologize for having caused you to apologize to me for having upset me, because it was quite an unnecessary apology. Incidentally, I did not read your private message to me. When I compose in French, I usually manage to place the diacritical marks correctly in the more common words and expressions. Most English-speaking Bengalis use English more correctly than many Americans; I suspect that English grammar is, on the whole, better taught in India and in Scandinavian countries than it is in the United States. There appear to be exceptions to this rule, however.
