Peter is there an article about Atmel on this site? The URL you posted took me to the login screen and I'm not a member. Could you copy and paste the article so we can read it. Thanks in advance.

ATML holders should note that the company has become far less dependant on D-RAM revenues over the last four quarters. While the trend referred to in the NYT will help overall revenues, it will not do so to the extent in previous years. IMO, ATML's decreased reliance is a good thing because its other business segments (SiGe, microcontrollers, smart cards and systems on chips) have better upside, if management executes.

Jus' lil' ol' me. The last time I posted on this thread and had the temerity to suggest that the EPS number of $0.18 was a tad misleading because of the apparent inclusion of the one-time gain on sale I was roasted for everything from re-writing GAAP, knowing nothing about accounting, trying to set fire to a short attack to cooking toad and funghal stew, and on and on. Turns out my analysis was correct and many holders were none to pleased about the actual earnings number. To their credit, management did try to clarify the treatment in the CC.
