Eli74;

I don't rely on any one indicator. No one knows what they Fed will do for sure. Also, this is not my concoction rather, it is something John Bollinger said. I merely reported it. Please reread my post. However, from other indicators I do feel that the danger is not inflation but deflation.

Eli - Re.: "...Gold bugs..."
Off topic.
As I recall, in 1994 or earlier, gold lost its position as the inflation protection. A couple of articles in Barron's reviewed traditional gold bugs frustration. Even the bond and stock markets bifurcated in the early nineties. Conventional analysis does not seem to hold. Example: How can US productivity increase without affecting inflation and unemployment? How the internet and e commerce will help the DOW to go to 41000 in the year 2008-2009? China and other East Asian countries can consume all the gold they want. some thoughts. Ram
