I agree MSFT is performing much better last couple of
days, as well as today. It was up most of the day while
Naz was down 2% or so. We should have a pop tomorrow to
test $80 range.

Sir FD,

*** OT ***

1st I want thank you for sharing your daytrading ideas.

I'm 2-month newbie trader, converted from 7-yr strict buy&hold. So far I'm very very happy with execution from Brown. Brown is fast & about 20% of the time I get better price than real-time quotes, but that could be because I'm using freerealtime instead of costly Level II. The best thing about Brown for a newbie is that only 1/8 is needed to make profit, thus allowing careful trading of 100 shares at a time while learning the daytrading craft. The only problem with Brown is that the 1st 1/2 hr is a little slow.

I also have an account with Fidelity for 7 years. Fidelity is always slow (compared to Brown), and I got screwed with market price so much that I only do limit now. The only reason I'm still with Fidelity is that I'm not comfortable leaving all my $ with 1 firm.

I read your short sales with interest as I have been pondering about short-selling for 2 weeks now. It will be the 1st short sell of my career. I plan to short sell 100 sh of a stock I own (core) whenever its price runs up above my bought-in by 2 points or more. This seems a very safe short because I'm locked in for 2-pt gain if stock keeps going up, whereas if stock goes down the short will help reduce my cost basis.

I have been trading MSFT alot & really appreciate your detailed analysis.

Thanks,
