REB, Nahh, Kernan cutting up on air keeps it interesting. Okay, so maybe he's still not proficient on the new chart machines, but he knows what he's talking about when he talks stocks, and I especially like it when he points out how wrong some of these "market strategists" have been. And I really like the extra hour of Squawk. My new pet peeve is Alina Cho's 24-hour revolving "Hillary Watch." Every freaking day, it's "Hillary Clinton is mulling a run at the NY Senate..." Then today was the worst: "Hillary Clinton is rumored to be shopping for homes in Westchester County..." WHO CARES? Why does a business channel have to report, every hour, Hillary Clinton's latest move? As if she was some sort of hero figure. You'd think the person who writes the news break material for CNBC was a shill for Hillary's Senate campaign. I guess if you lived in NY State it might make interesting chit-chat at the water cooler, but the rest of us who don't live in NY don't care. Personally, if I did live in NY, I'd find it offensive that someone who never lived in my state felt she was "the Chosen One" to represent NY in the Senate. And if I lived in Arkansas, I'd be equally peeved that she now feels that, since her husband is no longer governor, that living in Arkansas is now "beneath her." Hillary for Senate in NY? Give me a break! She belongs on a Jerry Springer show about promiscuous husbands and the wives who stick around anyway--not on Capitol Hill. If she and Bill were shopping for homes in Beijing, that would be newsworthy (although not surprising, given the recent events), but I find it very offensive to tune into a business channel and hear an hourly "Hillary Watch--Will She or Won't She."
