< Adam - re: Congratulations on your purchase. There have been at least three other times (not including the present) in the past 3 1/2 years where INTC has dropped >25% from its recent highs. If you purchased 100 shares each of the three times it dropped 25%, you'd have 800 shares now with a cost bases of less than $25. >

So by your logic if you flip a coin three times and get three tails, then a tail for the fourth time is a sure thing?

Kap.

Adam,

It's interesting to note that each time INTC had a setback, various bears would post like crazy that Intel sucked, that nobody needed the latest processor, that AMD and Cyrix would put Intel out of business, etc. It use to be Fuchi/InvestorA who loved Cyrix innovations (emphasis on the past tense loved), then it was someone (was his name Vinod?) who was so bearish on Intel that he bought a put, and now it's Scumbria

I've been questioning Intel's market segmentation strategy on this thread for most of the past year. It is based on arrogance, and a belief that mighty Intel can pull the wool over the consumer's eyes.

Adam, RE: "There have been at least three other times (not including the present) in the past 3 1/2 years where INTC has dropped >25% from its recent highs."

Intel has offered some good buying opportunities because of its cycles.
