Re The Static Field Converter, methinks someone has taken parts of Atlas Shrugged far too literally.

Peter,

Obviously, further evidence of the careful fact-checking and fraud-avoidance mechanisms which BizWire has put in place.

I've forwarded it to the Webnode 3...

Peter, congratulations on finding the nth perpetuum mobile. It is surprising how many Per. Mob. the patent office lets go by. By the way, there is a way to extract energy from the magnetic field of the earth by hanging a tether from a satellite down, an emf is generated and power can be consumed. Now, one would think that eventually the magnetic field of the earth would be exhausted, but the truth is that in the tether case, the satellite's orbit is slowly reduced and the energy recovered is just a partial recapture of the launch energy of the satellite, no big "free energy" production here. NASA has been playing around with tethers for years now.

I also understand that static field converters will be used to power Gardenburger compressed-salad machines, Turbochef ovens, Zonagen "Vasomech" penis enlargers, and Chromatics Color Science's Bilirubinometers.

What's the point of that press release?
biz.yahoo.com
To drum up business? And if so, for what?

The guy's website says he's an electrical engineer, with a NY address, but if you go to the New York State Education Department's website and look for a Registered Professional Engineer named Abolafia, you won't find one.
