<OT>QCOM - well, it's a matter of definition - sure, forward p/e is nice, but we are talking market emotion here. Many nets too look a lot more reasonable using forward p/e. Problem is that when panic selling hits, people don't worry about niceties like forward p/e, they look up a yahoo quote and see a p/e of 265 and don't ask questions. Remember, I look at it as a trader, not only as an investor.

BTW, the context in which I wrote that post, made clear that I think QCOM is a good stock to own and trade. I was remarking on it as an opportunity for a buy and hold type situation (and here the forward p/e might apply). But I also think of it as a trading situation, and in that context, in this market, QCOM is considered a high p/e stock - call me crazy, but I've watched traders in action, and that's the perception.

Your Second has been sent back with a message from my Second - we really have no quarrel, as we both love the lady, or maybe that's just the problem - we *both* love the lady... in which case, as my moniker suggests, I'll mug you sometime when you least expect.

Bottom line, I reiterate: IMO, QCOM is looking strong here.

Good luck!
