You have entirely misunderstood, sister mine! I invited the gentleman to inspect my real estate (namely, my lovely penttreehouse, to which you, friend, have a key, you may remember, subject to only the slightest of restrictions!) and perhaps to watch a sporting event on television! It is true, he looked closely at some of my furniture, but that is of no moment.... But I so fear being disinvited to your next Festival, the one honoring the Summer Solstice, that I shall certainly be extra careful about propriety; in fact, it might be well for you to issue me a list indicating exactly which gentlemen may be considered, shall we say, free for general dallying-with, gentle lady, for i have no wish to displease you, and, as I say, risk having to observe the festival grounds during the merriment from one of the expansive windows of my elegant penttreehouse, alone and morose. (We will be able to talk funny at Summer Solstice, right?) (Shouldn't this badinage be restricted to the Beltane thread? Mightn't purists of many ilks object to this nonsense being posted here?)
