At least you will get some mileage out of the SS I am in the post boomer generation. I guess the X in "X generation" stands for $0 from SSI.

I have no problem with social security as a safety net for the poor. Its entitlement status is what's killing it; all it would take to 'save' it would be a simple tweak -- a tweak that is, alas, politically improbable. Right now, I hate paying in to SS, not because I'll never see the money again, but because it's being paid mostly to people who don't need it. -mb
