Concentrating on the swing vote means no such thing. Many of us have predictable enough, settled opinions. We vote too, and our votes count. But the "swing vote" is the segment of the electorate that hasn't firmly made up its mind, so it is worth focusing on...If you vote, and participate in politics, then you have an opportunity to voice your opinion. No one said that you were guaranteed to win...As for the LCD, that is to some extent true, but on the other hand, I am a conservative, and do not mind the idea that government cannot easily get much done:-)...
